The Allentown Art Museum was founded during the Great Depression and established by Walter Emerson Baum. Featuring Italian renaissance paintings, Mediterranean textiles, Asian Indian and Tibetan art, the museum has plenty to offer art-lovers from around the world. As of October 2010, admission into the museum is free for general and special exhibits. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Established in 1927, the Civic Theatre of Allentown provides visitors with professional productions. The theatre shows only art, independent and foreign films and casts talent from the region. Past shows include "A Prophet," "The Art of the Steal" and "The Messenger." Ticket prices and dates vary for each show.

Upon entering the America On Wheels museum, you'll see automobiles and motorcycles from different eras and manufacturers. Featuring a Soapbox Derby Exhibit, a historical vehicle gallery, hot rods, sports cars and interactive exhibits, children and adults alike can enjoy themselves here. Have your picture taken in the driver's seat of an Indy race car or complete trivia questions about vehicles. As of October 2010, museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Dorney Park is an amusement park complete with Wildwater Kingdom, a collection of water attractions. Live shows are available to visitors and include a 13-piece band and plenty of performers. For children, the park features a section just for kids. There are over 40 food locations throughout the park for when visitors get hungry. Hours of operation vary throughout the year and admission prices are subject to change.
