Summertime is the season for water slides and music in the park, while fall foliage and migrating birds provide a backdrop for a series of classes offered by the local Audubon Society.
Open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom is a 690-acre water park with water slides, wave pools and splash areas. The park's Riptide Run is a 1,100-foot long river for tubing while Liquid Lightning shoots riders down a slide and around the sides of a water funnel. The park also offers swim lessons and a junior lifeguard program to season pass holders.

It's held at the Audubon Education Center in Aurora. The kick-off jamboree offers free snacks, hay rides and children's activities the weekend before classes begin in the fall.

Beginning with a 1-mile/5K fun run, Aurora's Fourth of July festivities offer a full day of activities and events. After the run, view the parade departing from the town center, and then move to Sunny Lake Park for food, music and fireworks at dusk.
