The Children's Museum of Cleveland

• The Children's Museum of Cleveland is geared toward children up to 8 years old. Exhibits include Splish Splash, Bigger and Better Than Ever and the Big Red Barn. Splish Splash is a water exhibit that teaches children about water transportation and features a two-story climbing structure that is used to teach children about water cycles. Bigger and Better Than Ever features a two-story house for children to play in, a kid-size grocery store, a replica of the Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, a bank complete with play money and other kid-size activities. The Big Red Barn is designed for children up to 4 years old, with hand-on activities. The museum is open seven days a week.

Cedar Point Amusement Park

• The Cedar Point Amusement Park is located in Sandusky. The amusement park is home to water rides, roller coasters, thrill rides, kids' rides, family rides, shows, food and souvenir shops. The park is also home to the Soak City water park, which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Challenge Park, located inside the amusement park, offers two 18-hole miniature golf courses, a sky coaster, two go-kart tracks and a skyscraper. Admission to Cedar Point is not required to visit Challenge Park.

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

• The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is home to more than 500 animals and 3,000 plant species. It has birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates. The zoo is also home to many exhibits such as the Cat House, Gibbon Islands, Giraffe Ridge, Gorilla World, Jungle Trails, Monkey Island, Penguin Walkabout and Lemur Lookout. The Cat House allows guests to see leopards, Gibbons Island has large jungle gyms for children to play on and Giraffe Ridge lets guests feed snacks to giraffes. The Spaulding Children's Zoo allows children to feed goats, climb on a rope spider web, touch live animals and howl with the wolves. The Cincinnati Zoo is open every day except Christmas.
