Old Smokey Bar-B-Q, as of 2010 is open Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In 2009, the Old Smokey Bar-B-Q was rated best restaurant in the area, with a health inspection score by the Jefferson County Health Department of 99 out of 100. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, for takeout and catering, and accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. Rusty's Barbeque, located off Highway 78 on Parkway Drive, is two miles east of the Bass Pro Shop. The restaurant is owned and operated by Jonathan (Rusty) and Beth Tucker, graduates in restaurant management from Johnson and Wales University. Along with their extended family, Rusty and Beth opened Rusty's Barbeque in February, 2009. Menu specialties include slow-roasted pork, chicken and ribs, and Beth's homemade peanut butter pie. All BBQ meats are cooked over an open pit and slathered with Rusty's homemade BBQ sauces. Rusty's Barbeque also serves hamburgers, cheeseburgers and side dishes, such as homemade potato salad, coleslaw, french fries, onion rings, deviled eggs and baked beans. Rusty's Barbeque, as of 2010, is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
