Restaurants Near the Tenement Museum in NYC

The Tenement Museum is located on the lower east side of New York City. The museum shares the stories of more than 7,000 immigrant residents from 20 nations who have passed through its building at 97 Orchard Street. A tenement is a multistory residential building, usually for low-income residents, which can be cramped and overcrowded. The Tenement Museum's building was built in 1863, when the neighborhood was largely a working-class immigrant neighborhood. After a visit to the Tenement Museum, you can go out to eat in this now-gentrified neighborhood, which is home to many types of restaurants for every budget.
