Take a ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, which boards in Canton. The train goes along the tracks through the countryside surrounding Canton. The train requires reservations, but it seats a lot of people---600 to be exact. Some of the train cars can even be arranged to host meetings and conferences.
Visit the Canton Classic Car Museum, which includes more than just old cars. One of the museum's most popular cars is the Amphicar, which is operational on water as well as on land. Bulletproof police cars are also on display. Admission is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 18. Children under age 5 are free.
Travel to the Kingsway Pumpkin Farm, which is just outside of Canton. It is open from September to November. In addition to pumpkins, the farm features hayrides, an indoor straw maze, a corn slide and a 10-acre corn maze. Because admission is only $3, this is a place that a group can visit without breaking the bank.
Take children to the Fun Fortress. The facility includes bounce houses and obstacle courses where children can play. It also features inflatable slides and party areas. The inflatable attractions can be used by young children or teenagers. The price to use the facility is $8 per person.
Go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Canton's most-visited site. In addition to the busts and displays that pay homage to Hall of Famers, the 80,000-square-foot museum also features interactive exhibits and games that allow visitors to step back in time and experience some of the unique moments in the history of football. Most people who visit the museum end up spending between 2 and 3 hours there, but more time can certainly be spent at the building.
