Blue Back Square is an upscale condominium and apartment complex located at West Hartford Center in the Hartford County community of West Hartford. The complex also serves as home to a shopping area, which offers residents and visitors nine dining options. Among the restaurants at Blue Back Square are casual burger joints and upscale Mexican restaurants, steakhouses and wine bistros.
Besito opened in Blue Back Square in May 2009. The users of Open Table have given the restaurant awards for "Best Ambiance" in the area thanks to its candlelit booths, set in recessed alcoves for an intimate setting.
The restaurant specializes in Mexican cuisine. A signature entree, the enchiladas suizas consist of shredded chicken, tomatillo cream sauce, a blend of melted cheese, onions and cilantro. The restaurant is a make-your-own hamburger joint that boasts more than 312,000 possible combinations due to the large number of cheeses, toppings and sauces available. In addition to its design-it-yourself options, the restaurant features six signature burgers. The restaurant's namesake burger consists of provolone cheese, deep-fried onion strings, lettuce, sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette. A burger in a bowl is also available for individuals with a low-carb diet.
