    • Located in New Haven, Miya's Sushi offers a relaxed setting with earth-tone colored walls and high wooden tables. The massive menu features a host of sushi options, such as spicy catfish with Chinese black bean rolls, sweet potato rolls, black-eyed squid rolls and artichoke cumin rolls. The menu also includes original sake recipes, including honey sweetened gingseng with jasmine sake and ginger, lemongrass and clover honey sake. The restaurant adheres to strict, self-imposed environmental guidelines, particularly in their attempts to avoid serving overfished items.

    Sushi Palace

    • Sushi Palace resides in Hamden, just 7 miles north of New Haven. The interior decor features a low-key yet upscale design, including red wood furnishings and hardwood floors. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat sushi bar; however, they request that guests not order more than they can eat. Traditional sushi samplings include red clam, egg custard, yellow tail and spicy salmon. Specialty rolls include such offerings as the Dragon, or barbeque eel with avocado and cucumber, as well as the soft shell crab with asparagus, avocado and mayo.
