The Midwest Region consists of 12 states each offering its own tourist attractions. Travelers to the Midwest can explore natural attractions such as some the Great Lakes, as well as large cities with abundant entertainment.

  1. Chicago

    • Chicago is the top city in Illinois and the Midwest for world-class shopping. According to the Official Visitors Site For Chicago, Downtown Chicago's Oak Street is an international style center with high-end stores and salons. Michigan Avenue possesses an eight-block stretch of 460 luxury stores called the Magnificent Mile.

    Sandusky

    • Sandusky is located in northern Ohio along Sandusky Bay, which is a Lake Erie harbor. According to the City of Sandusky's website, Sandusky has over more than 22 miles of shoreline within city limits. Visitors to Sandusky can enjoy Lake Erie as well as Cedar Point Amusement Park, which as of September 2010, boasts 17 roller coasters.

    Milwaukee

    • Milwaukee, situated in Wisconsin on the west shore of Lake Michigan, hosts an annual 11 day summer music festival called Summerfest. According to Summerfest's website, it is the world's largest music festival in the world. Some of Milwaukee's best brewpubs and nightlife can be found along downtown's 2-mile-long Riverwalk.
