The Midwestern state of Indiana experiences the highs and lows of all four seasons. Most outdoor water parks in Indiana operate from Memorial Day through Labor Day, while many campgrounds are open year-round. It is always best to check with a specific location for hours of operation.
Southern Indiana is home to Splashin' Safari Water Park which is part of the Holiday World theme park in Santa Claus, Indiana. A day at Splashin' Safari includes rides on the Wildebeest, the World's Longest Water Coaster; Kima Bay and Monsoon Lagoon water playgrounds; two wave pools; a variety of tube and body slides; lazy river rides Congo River and Bahari River; Crocodile Isle, a pool with slides for small children; and the Jungle Jets water spray and splash area. Splashin' Safari also provides free sunscreen and drink stations.

Located next to Splashin' Safari, Lake Rudolph Campground and RV Resort has 19 furnished rental cabins that each have an eight-guest capacity. Cabins include a family room, bathroom, air conditioning and heat, and a kitchen stocked with utensils, dishes, pots and pans. Smoking and pets are not allowed. Campground amenities include swimming pools, playgrounds, basketball courts, miniature golf, fishing, kayak and rowboat rentals, a game room and nature trails.

Located in central Indiana, Kokomo Beach Family Aquatic Center is operated by the city of Kokomo. A family and budget friendly water playground, Kokomo Beach offers a leisure pool, several water slides (including child slides), a lazy river, a lap pool, and a sand playground. Other amenities include a food court and bathhouse. The Aquatic Center is also available for private party rentals.

Less than 30 miles north of Kokomo, Mississinewa Lake is a 3,210-acre state lake surrounded by over 14,000 acres of natural habitat. Rent-a-camp cabins are available at Mississinewa, and include a table and bench, electricity and beds. Restroom facilities and running water are available outside of the cabins. Cabin reservations are recommended.

Just minutes south of Chicago, Deep River Water Park is located in northern Indiana. A distinctive water park, Deep River offers water fun from May through Labor Day and reopens in November for ice skating. Water attractions include the Bayou River Ride, Rip Tide wave pool, Mayor Byrodvich's Courthouse water play structure, and several slides. Deep River also offers a variety of food selections and a beach shop.

Approximately 40 minutes northeast of Deep River Water Park, Michigan City Campground rents standard sleeping cabins year-round and deluxe cabins seasonally. Both cabin styles accommodate up to six guests and offer air conditioning and heat, double and twin beds, a table and a covered porch. The deluxe cabins also have a kitchen and bathroom. Campground facilities include a bath house, laundry room, game room, camp store and swimming pool.
