The Morgan's Brookville Canoe Center is run by the Morgan family, one of the pioneers of the canoeing industry in Southeastern Indiana. The facility spans 120 acres overlooking the Whitewater River and features three cabins that accommodate up to four people. Each cabin is located in a secluded setting for maximum privacy and has a small deck to enjoy the fresh air and be close to nature. The cabins are Amish-made, but you don't have to worry about comfort, since all are heated and equipped with an air conditioner and a refrigerator.
Family meals are prepared on a charcoal grill or in the firepit and enjoyed on the picnic table outside. Shared shower and restroom facilities are situated nearby. A maximum of two dogs are allowed on leash but never inside the cabins. The place offers a canoe-and-cabin package special, which includes use of the cabin for two nights and a canoe for two days.

The Brookville Lake is one of the many attractions in Franklin County. Although its main purpose is flood reduction of nearby areas, it also provides ample opportunities for fishing, boating and hunting. Many tourists come to Franklin County to experience a bit of history, however, and the nearby town of Metamora provides just that. This town gives tourists a chance to step back in time and experience what life was like in the early 19th century. It prides itself as the only remaining functional Canal Town, with its horse-drawn canal boats.
