For a one of a kind experience, Patoka Lake Marina and Lodging in Birdseye offers cabins that sit atop docks on the lake. In addition to renting out the cabins for a vacation visit, interested vacationers can purchase a floating cabin as a vacation home or to live on the lake year round.
Each floating cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, fridge, toaster, dinnerware, cookware and more. Lodgers will also find all the comforts of home such as private bedrooms, DVD/VCR/TV combo and full bathrooms. Additionally, each cabin has a deck on the lake, and deck furniture and a grill in order to fully enjoy the outdoors.
Located on the second largest lake in the state of Indiana, water activities are an absolute must. Each cabin has a private boat slip located right next to it, so that guests can go fishing at their convenience. Boats can be rented on site, or people are welcomed to bring their own.
Aside from personal boating adventures, Patoka also offers an array of boating tours. There's the Patoka Voyage 60-Foot Tour Boat which features an enclosed desk, wet bar, radio, CD player, restrooms and more while providing a relaxing cruise down the lake. The boat can be reserved for private groups and has a party deck available.
In the fall, there's the Autumn Majestic Color package so that guests can view the fall foliage from the lake. Executive tours, which include a light buffet and drinks, are available on certain Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.
Lodgers do not need to leave the lake at all with the presence of the Floating Store. Boats and jet skis can pull right up to the dock while patrons duck inside for supplies. There's gas, bait and tackle, a washer and dryer, rental slips and boating supplies available at the store, as well as more traditional groceries. Hungry boaters can stock up on food from the deli, grocery section, picnic area or at the made to order pizza counter.
