New York on Valentine's Day has a great deal to offer--from theater to restaurants or perusing romantic landmarks. It may not be Paris or Rome, but New York is still a city full of romance. Some of the sights have become synonymous with romance due to the many romantic films that have been based in New York City.
Located on the 26th floor of the Beekman Tower Hotel, Top of the Tower is a restaurant that offers amazing views of the city while you dine. Enjoy a romantic Valentine's Day meal with the one you love, with the night-time New York City view as your back drop. The restaurant is open seven days a week until 11 p.m. (10 p.m. on Sundays), serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu consists of classic American cuisine.

Touring Central Park in a horse-drawn carriage is one of New York's iconic romantic activities. The rides run daily, except in excessively adverse weather conditions. Carriage rides can be pre-booked, but drivers also accept walk ups. The carriages are generally stationed on 5th and 6th avenues. The length of the ride can vary from 45 minutes to more than two hours. The tours are a very romantic way to view Central Park, especially snuggled close to your favorite Valentine under a blanket in the cold February weather.
