For some people the '80s never died. If you are one of these people and are living in or traveling to Seattle, you have a couple of options for dancing the night away. Though not as omnipresent as they once were, '80s music clubs still have a presence in the Seattle area.
Neighbours offers an '80s dance party every Thursday night. Though it's a gay club, the bar takes on a diverse character on Thursday nights, according to the "Seattle Weekly." The newspaper says that while the club has a reputation as a pickup bar, patrons can easily ignore this atmosphere and just enjoy dancing. The club is one of the largest and most popular in Seattle. The party goes until 3 a.m. and is known for leg warmers and other symbols of 1980s retro kitsch. Drink specials include double drinks for just $4, as of 2010.
