Wisconsin Dells is the largest tourist area in Wisconsin, with activities ranging from petting zoos and museums to large water parks. Located between Lake Delton and the Wisconsin River, Wisconsin Dells has a natural side that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. One way to enjoy this quiet side is to rent a cabin at one of the many camping resorts in the area.
Visit the Wisconsin Dells official tourism website if you are unsure which campgrounds and resorts rent cabins. In the current travel guide there is a table that shows what amenities are offered at every resort and campground. If there is a star in the "Camping Cabin Rental" column, that means the resort does rent cabins. You can also sign up on the website to have a tour guide come to your home.
Look at the amenities offered at the campground or resort. For example, if you want free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and hiking trails, you may want to stay at Wanna Bee Campground, Al's Fox Hill RV Park & Campground or Arrowhead Resort Campground. If you'd rather camp near a swimming pool with a water park, Yogi Bear's Camp-Resort & Water Playground would be a better choice.
Consider how far the campground is from other attractions in the area. If you are going to Wisconsin Dells to spend a day at Noah's Ark or Mount Olympus water parks you may not want to stay at a campground or resort in Baraboo. Baraboo is the closest city to Wisconsin Dells, yet it is twenty five minutes from the Dells' attractions. Some campgrounds and resorts--like Wanna Bee, Yogi Bear and Sherwood Forest Camping & RV Park--offer discounts to some of the area attractions.
