Kent Island is situated on the eastern end of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and has a history that dates back to 1631, when the island's first trading post was opened. While Kent Island has a reputation for serving some of the best seafood in Maryland, those arriving early might have to look around for awhile to find a restaurant that opens its doors for breakfast.

    • Having first opened its doors in 1955, it is safe to say that Holly's has become something of a local institution. Breakfast is served each day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Specialties of the house include steak and eggs, French toast, cream chipped beef and waffles. The Shoreman's Breakfast comes with two large eggs made according to your wishes, two buttermilk pancakes, two pieces of bacon and two sausage links. Holly's also offers a special breakfast menu for kids age 10 and under.

    Rams Head Shore House

    • Rams Head Shore House serves breakfast every day of the week, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on most days and 9 a.m. to noon on Sundays. Some of their breakfast specialties include the breakfast burrito, which comes with your choice of meat, scrambled eggs and shredded cheddar cheese on a warm tortilla and served with home fries; blackened steak and eggs; a ham and cheese croissant; and the Western omelet burger.
