Known as the Granite City, St. Cloud, Minnesota, is on the banks of the Mississippi River and 40 miles upstream from the metropolis of Minneapolis-St. Paul. As of 2010, it has 60,000 inhabitants, who make it a bustling center.   1. Wilson Park

    • Wilson Park, on the banks of the river, is the largest recreational area in St. Cloud and includes a small lake with row boats for hire. The park has children's play equipment and sporting facilities for softball, tennis and volleyball. Wilson Park has benches and tables for outdoor eating.

    Musinger/Clemens Gardens

    Sand Prairie Wildlife Environmental Area

    • The Sand Prairie Wildlife Environmental Area provides an area where residents and visitors to St. Cloud can enjoy the natural beauties of the area. This includes sign-posted nature trails, a marsh boardwalk and a hiking trail for more experienced nature lovers. Snowshoe excursions and skiing are also available, but, naturally, only available when weather permits.

    Granite Bowl

    • Granite Bowl is the largest bowling alley in St. Cloud and is on two sites, downtown and south St. Cloud.
