Cedar Grove is a small community that is incorporated in the town of Toms River, just a few miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean in the south-central part of New Jersey. Cedar Grove itself does not have any famous dance clubs, but there are plenty within 15 minutes in the resort towns of Pt. Pleasant Beach and Seaside Heights.
Situated 14 miles from Cedar Grove on the Atlantic boardwalk at Pt. Pleasant Beach, the Jenks Club is well-known for dancing. It has a large dance floor and regularly offers music from both bands and DJs. Drinks and other various specials are held throughout the summer. Often referred to as Jenkinson's, the Jenk's Club is part of an entertainment complex that includes arcade games, a restaurant and an aquarium. Like many clubs along the New Jersey Shore, Jenks is only open on Fridays and Saturdays during the winter, but is open seven days a week starting on Memorial Day.

Less than seven miles from Cedar Grove in the popular summer tourist town of Seaside Heights, the Bamboo Bar is a famous establishment with large dancing areas. Although it was already a well-known bar, it became even more so when multiple scenes from the MTV reality show "Jersey Shore'' were shot inside the building. Live entertainment with bands and DJs that play dance music seven nights a week during the tourist season help draw big crowds to the Bamboo Bar. The Bamboo Bar, which is a block from the ocean, has multiple areas that serve drinks and stages special events such as block parties, "Ladies 18 to Party'' and "Flirt Friday.''

Described by the funnewjersey website as arguably the best known bar in the state, Martell's Tiki Bar is 14 miles east of Cedar Grove in the town of Pt. Pleasant Beach. Martell's has live dance music during the day and evenings in the summer months. The tiki bar is part of an entertainment complex on the boardwalk that includes a bar on a pier that extends into the ocean as well both inside and outside musical stages. The complex also includes inside and outside dining areas, a food court with a large variety of cuisine and an outdoor raw clam bar. Dinner and drink specials are regularly offered to go along with the dance music.
