Cabins in Western Colorado to Rent

The western part of Colorado offers tourists access to the western area of the Rocky Mountains. This mountain range features areas for camping and picnics, as well as trails for horseback riding and mountain biking. Log cabin resorts and rentals are located throughout the mountain range, making these sites accessible to tourists. Other attractions in West Colorado includes Dinosaur National Monument, a site that features ancient dinosaur fossils on the Fossil Discovery Trail.

None of the cabins have telephones and there is no cellular service in the town of Marble, Colorado.

    Abode at Willowtail Springs

    • Willowtail Springs is a 10-minute drive from the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park, as well as the shopping and dining establishments in the nearby town of Mancos. This resort features a picnic area with barbecue grills, and offers services that include in-cabin massage therapies and dinners prepared by a professional chef. Guests are also provided with binoculars so they can take advantage of bird-watching opportunities in the area. Willowtail Springs consists of three cabins: Bungalow, Garden Cottage and Lakehouse. Each of these cabins feature fully-furnished kitchens and living room area with fireplace. Some of the cabins have a king-sized bed. Willowtail Springs also has an on-site four-acre pond that offers opportunities for fishing. Canoes are available for guests to use.

    Pioneer Guest Cabins

    • Located less than 15 minutes from Crested Butte, Pioneer Guest Cabins provides its guests with quick access to Gunnison National Forest, a 1.6 million-acre park that features trails for hiking and cycling, as well as camping facilities. This resort was founded in 1939 and was used as a base camp for tourists who were skiing at the nearby Pioneer Ski Resort. All cabins have been restored and have their own exterior and interior décor. Amenities include a living room with fireplace, fully-furnished kitchens and up to three bedrooms. Some the cabins have a picnic area and a fire ring. Pioneer Guest Cabins is also a popular place for weddings to occur.
