Although cabins in Ohio are far more common among the forests and hills of the eastern part of the state, with a little searching you can find them in western Ohio as well. All of the cabins also have bathrooms with showers. The resort holds special events and also has full hook-up sites for RVs. The Toledo East/Stony Ridge KOA in western Ohio has both one- and two-bedroom "Kabins'' as well as sites for RVs and tents. The cabins are located in secluded forested areas and have their own picnic tables and grills. Firewood can be delivered to your cabin upon request. Located on the property are restrooms, showers, a miniature golf course, and a heated pool that is open during the warmer months. Situated 15 miles from the Toledo Zoo, the campground also offers cable TV, hay rides on the weekends, bike rentals, and free high-speed wireless Internet. The KOA holds special events such as its "Halloween Weekend.''

Six miles southeast of Toledo in western Ohio, the Maumee Bay State Park has 24 cabins located next to a golf course in a scenic wetland area. Each cabin comes with a gas fireplace, a full kitchen, heating and air conditioning, a living area, and either two bedrooms with a loft, or four bedrooms. Guests in the cabins may also make full use of the park's lodge, which has a game room, racquetball courts, saunas, whirlpools, indoor and outdoor pools, a dining room, meeting rooms, and a snack bar. The park, which has full hook-up sites for RVs as well as tent sites, also has two sand beaches on the shores of Lake area with a concession area and booths for changing clothes.
