Wyandot Woods (wyandotwoods.com), located in Hocking Hills, offers six various sized cabins. All cabins feature bedrooms, family areas, modern bathrooms and kitchens. Hot tubs are located at each cabin site, along with gas log stoves. A private spring-fed lake uses catch-and-release rules for the avid fisherman. Both swimming and boating are also offered at the lake. Numerous hiking trails cover 20 acres of wooded hills. Four-wheel drive is recommended in the winter.
Buck Creek State Park (buckcreekstatepark.org) was formed from the leftover effects of receded glaciers more than 12,000 years ago. The state park features 26 family cottages and one handicap-accessible cottage. Specific cottages cater to pets and both smokers and nonsmokers. Each cottage includes two bedrooms, living room with 32-inch TV, kitchen and dining area and outdoor fire ring. Prices vary depending on the time of year.
