Amish Cabins or Chalets in Ohio

Holmes County, Ohio, is at the center of the state's Amish community. More than 36,000 Amish people live in the region, which extends outward from Holmes to the five surrounding counties. The area, which is within a two-hour drive of both Cleveland and Columbus, receives more than four million visitors per year. Vacationers can choose from several types of lodging options, including Amish cabins and chalets.

  1. Coblentz Country Cabins

    • The Coblentz family runs a bed and breakfast in the heart of Berlin, one of the main Amish towns in the area, as well as multiple-unit log cabins outside of town for travelers who want more secluded lodging. The cabins are in a wooded area overlooking a pond. Each of the six units has a private entrance, and features a private bath with Jacuzzi, fireplace, cable television and VCR, CD player and kitchenette. Some of the units have a sleeping loft and/or game room. The individual cabins range from 730 to 1,900 square feet and can sleep up to eight people.
