Edison Park is one of Chicago's up-and-coming neighborhoods and a food center in the city. It draws visitors from all over the metro area with its Restaurant Row and annual Edison Park Fest every August. However, you don't have to come to this neighborhood only during the summer to sample its best cuisine.
Zia's Trattoria takes its culinary inspiration from its namesake, the Italian word for "aunt." The food is based on the cuisine of central and northern Italy. The lunch menu features affordable Italian comfort food, such as lasagna and penne with sausage and mushrooms in a tomato ragu. The dinner menu features entrees like braised lamb shank with pancetta and veal served with cream sauce. Zia's is open until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 p.m. Sunday.

It's possible to get a taste of classic France right in Edison Park at the Cafe Touche, a French-style bistro with a frog as a mascot. The restaurant has ample outdoor seating, and menu items include steak frites and roasted duck. The bar includes a long list of French wines and also a number of classic French and Belgian beers. This bistro is open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m. on Sunday, and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Diners at Don Juan's Restaurante get to experience quality classic and contemporary Mexican cuisine. Year-round, the menu features authentic Mexican favorites such as puntas de filete, which is beef tenderloin tips with a spicy chile chipotle sauce, or mole con pollo, which is grilled chicken breast served over a poblano mole. Of course, there is also the option for a combination plate of tacos, tostadas, burritos, enchiladas and taquitos. The restaurant also features a rotating seasonal menu.
