California is home to dozens of internationally-renowned arts museums, such as the J. Paul Getty Museum, the de Young Museum and the California State Railroad Museum. But a thriving arts culture doesn't always equate solely to institutions as the state's plethora of monthly and annual locally-organized arts and culture festivals will attest. The state's wineries, which number in the thousands, also draw millions of visitors to the state each year. No surprise then that California plays host to a multitude of events each year that showcase these two state pastimes in concert.
The Millbrae Art & Wine Festival has been held annually over Labor Day weekend for the last four decades. Live music is featured throughout the three-day festival, and a wide variety of children's activities are also held, including amusement rides, face painting and obstacle courses.
