Chino is is a former farming town located in San Bernardino County, California. In recent years, Chino has expanded its horizons. It has hosted events for the Summer Olympics and is now home to historical landmarks, parks and museums. There is no need to settle for the same old chains and franchises when looking for a place to dine in Chino. There are several local restaurants in the city that offer a variety of cuisines.
Centro Basco Restaurant is a family-owned and operated place that's been in Chino since 1970. The Berterretches come from France, but Centro Basco offers not French food but Basque food--delicacies that come from a European region that covers southern France and northern Spain. Centro Basco is also unusual in that it has different hours for family-style dining and traditional dining. Family-style offers multiple courses meant to be shared and special dishes not on the regular menu. The traditional menu has individual entrees. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, and includes dishes such as French dip sandwiches, rack of lamb and roast chicken. The menu also offers poulet Basque (chicken topped with Basque tomato sauce) and orange roughy (a pan-fried filet with a special meuniere sauce). Centro Basco has two cocktail bars, beer and a wine list. It also hosts private parties and banquets.
