Seafood Restaurants Near the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland

Maryland's 61st governor, Martin O'Malley, says that "for Marylanders, the Bay is not merely something we drive over on our way to the ocean." The 200-mile-long Chesapeake Bay offers more than scenic views and recreational opportunities. It is filled with a bountiful supply of fresh seafood that serves the many restaurants found nearby.

  1. Bay Hundred Restaurant

    • Fresh, locally caught seafood and a comfortable, lively atmosphere are the hallmarks of Bay Hundred. Located on the Chesapeake Bay's eastern shore, the restaurant sports a fish-shanty look and serves everything from family favorites to upscale seafood dishes. The outdoor patio comes alive in the summer months, offering alfresco dining with water views and live entertainment.

The extensive menu has a selection of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps and steamer seafood bar selections, as well as veal, pasta, pork, poultry, beef and seafood entrees. The seafood is the star of the menu, with choices such as crab lasagna, blackened tuna with mango chutney and shrimp, and crabmeat and mushrooms over lobster ravioli with a blush cream sauce. As is the case at many of Maryland's seafood restaurants, the jumbo lump crab cakes are a customer favorite.
