Like most Latin cuisine, Brazilian food varies tremendously based on the country's geography. Seafood and tropical fruits are popular in coastal regions, while gauchos (South American cowboys) enjoy grilled steaks and meat. Milwaukee has several restaurants that offer diners the opportunity to sample a range of authentic dishes from Brazil and South America.
Located near the Pabst Theater, Sabor has contemporary ambiance, with exposed brick, dark wood and colorful, modern art. It is a churrascaria, which is Brazil's answer to a barbecue. It features an all-you-can-eat rodizio, or skewers of up to 12 fire-roasted meats. Waiters bring individual skewers to the table and slice any size portions directly onto your plate. The meats are accompanied by traditional side dishes, such as salads, fried yuca, rice and beans.
