Williamsburg, Virginia, is a historic colonial town in the Historic Triangle, along with Jamestown and Yorktown. The restaurant offers two dining experiences in one location--the Taphouse Grill, and the main seafood restaurant. Seafood is locally sourced from the York and James rivers, and nearby Chesapeake Bay. The Taphouse Grill is closed from November through March, but the main restaurant is open year-round. During January and February, the restaurant is not open on Mondays.

The menus feature seafood items and grilled steaks plus salads, soups and desserts. Local and imported beers are available from the bar, and there is an extensive wine list. The bar also features a list of its own specialty cocktails. Second Street is open for lunch, brunch and dinner, and reservations are accepted for parties of eight or more, Sunday through Thursday, but not at other times.
