Things to Do on a Rainy Day in Los Angeles, CA

Although there are not many rainy days in Los Angeles, a winter storm can certainly put a damper on your day. If it happens to be raining, don't waste the day sitting at home. Head into Los Angeles for a day of fun that does not involve being out in the rain. Relax and enjoy a museum, hang out with friends, or catch a movie until the storm passes.

  1. Arclight Cinemas

    • Southern California is the film capital of the world, and there is no better way to see a movie than at the Arclight Cinemas. Unlike typical movie theaters, the Arclight theater offers moviegoers the finest technology, specially designed seating so you can see the screen undisturbed, wide and comfortable seats, and an in-house café to enjoy a meal or snack before or after your movie. The Arclight Cinemas are also home to the Cinerama Dome, which was built in 1963. The dome provides a movie experience with a vintage feel, re-creating the layout and screen of the 1960s. The cinemas play first-run films, and also schedule specialty and vintage films throughout the year.
