Located in San Fernando Valley, The Playroom is an indoor play space that offers various areas for babies, toddlers and children up to 5 years of age to run around in, explore their environment and burn off excess energy. Visitors pay one fee and enjoy open play hours during the weekdays. A large bounce house, small roller coaster, plastic play structure and rock wall are all offered. Ride-on toys and a ball pit are also optional. Games such as air hockey are available for the older siblings and kids. Wearing socks is required, adults are welcome in all areas and private parties are offered.

The 1950's diner offers a loud atmosphere so your baby can be as emotional as she feels. When she gets restless, wander to the dancing water fountain in the center of the Grove. Balloon animal artists, face painters and musicians are often found here on weekends. Take a trip inside the bookstore, pick out a book and sit outside on the lawn while enjoying an ice cream and let her crawl around.

If you're interested in getting some fresh air and exercise, the Los Angeles Zoo is situated along the east side of the city and offers a wide variety of animal exhibits and botanical gardens to enjoy. From birds, mammals and reptiles to invertebrates and amphibians kids like strolling by animals' homes and watching them in their natural habitat. Make sure not to miss the meerkat exhibit where holes have been inserted for viewing inside the habitat.
