The Water's Edge Inn at Folly Beach, completed in 2007, offers guests luxury vacation accommodations in one of eight themed guestrooms or two villas. Most of the rooms have ocean or marsh views and spacious porches. The villas located beside the Inn are approximately 1700 square feet and have three bedrooms and three bathrooms, making them ideal for families. All of Folly Beach's favorite attractions--from the beach to casual and fine dining to shopping to nightlife--are within walking distance of the hotel.

Despite the similar name, this small, family-run Folly Beach hotel is not connected to the national chain. The only hotel on the island for many years, the Holliday Inn has 14 rooms and suites that are a block from the ocean and near all the shops and restaurants. Almost every room has a full kitchenette as well as heat and air conditioning, cable television, Wi-Fi, a full bath, and phones. Rates are the most reasonable you can get this close to the ocean, and include use of a large outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and barbecue pit.
