Zero Water Street Bed and Breakfast is at the corner of Water Street and East Bay, overlooking Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumter. The property features one suite, which consists of the entire third floor of the 1836 house. The suite, which has 12-foot ceilings, consists of a drawing room, a bedroom with queen bed, a kitchen with washer and dryer, a sitting room and bath. The Battery Carriage House is located across South Battery from White Point Gardens, formerly the Charleston Battery. In addition to views of the gardens, which feature massive live oaks and Civil War-era cannons, the inn features views of Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumter. Battery Carriage House has 10 rooms and one suite, all of which have outside entrances. Rooms are decorated in period style, and feature details liked canopied rice beds. Most rooms also have access to porches or patios. Continental breakfast is served in-room or in the garden. The inn also offers afternoon tea.
The Governor's House Inn, a short walk from the Battery, as well as the King Street antiques shops, is housed in the former residence of Edward Rutledge, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a former governor of South Carolina. The inn features 11 rooms and suites, all of which are decorated with period antiques. Each room also has access to the inn's large verandas. The Governor's House Inn is a National Historic Landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
