New Haven, Connecticut, is a large town with many different night clubs and a good nightlife. New Haven has clubs for all tastes and types, with some catering to college students and the gay and Latino communities. Other clubs offer a quiet scene to relax and enjoy a drink or even high energy dance floors if you want to get your groove on.
Toad's Place is a self described pioneer of New Haven nightlife, having been a part of the night scene for over 33 years. Toad's Place hosts live music, with some nights dedicated to local bands only and others dedicated to some of the bigger band names in music. The club also holds events like "Blues and Reggae Night" and dance parties. You can purchase tickets to shows at Toads from many F.Y.E. stores in the New Haven area and from the nightclub itself. Ticket prices depend on the show and the prices are listed on the Toad's Place website.

BAR was opened in New Haven in 1991 as an alternative to the traditional nightclub scene. BAR contains three distinctly different rooms that will appeal almost anyone's tastes. The "Front room" is loaded with pool tables, large televisions and a full service bar, and appeals to those who enjoy a football game or playing some pool while drinking with friends. The "Bru room" is like a restaurant or bistro scene. It contains elegant seating arrangements and offers drink service as well as brick oven-baked pizzas. The "BARtropolis" room is the main place to be if you enjoy high-energy fun. BAR has DJs constantly spinning tunes and wild light arrangements as well as a large club style dance floor.

The Gotham Citi Cafe was started back in 1996 as a primarily upscale gay nightclub. It has since grown to three levels of club entertainment that is not only open and appealing to gay crowds but to everyone else as well. The club offers a lot in terms of entertainment including live bands and guest DJ's spinning discs on dance party nights. Gotham offers different nights of the week to cater to different groups. Thursday nights are dedicated to college students and offer dollar drinks until 11 p.m. and college women drink free until 10 p.m. On Friday night offers Latin and Reggae guest DJ's. On Saturday nights the club is dedicated to the gay community and much like Friday nights offers special guest DJ's.
