• Forbidden provides more than 5,000 square feet to party on, and there is an event at the club nearly every night of the week. Weekly drag shows, comedy, dance parties and drink specials make Forbidden one of the area’s most popular gay night clubs; in May 2010 Forbidden was named one of AZCentral.com’s “20 Favorite Places to Drink in Scottsdale.” Forbidden also has space for private events like birthdays and bachelorette parties.

Ain’t Nobody’s Bizness

• Ain’t Nobody’s Bizness welcomes lesbian and gay clientele with open arms, and features weekly parties and drink specials. The club’s monthly “Flame” parties are designed with lesbian clientele in mind, and feature retro music from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Weekly happenings at “The Biz” include karaoke, drag shows and college nights.

Charlie’s Phoenix

• This gay bar gets a little bit country, with line dancing and two-step lessons as well as DJs spinning country hits all night long. As of September 2010, weekly events at Charlie’s Phoenix include “Underwear Night” on Mondays, two-for-one line dancing lessons on Thursdays and drag shows every Wednesday. On the weekends Charlie’s Phoenix mixes it up with DJs spinning high-energy dance music, and the bar stays open until 4 am.

BS West

• Open since 1988, this bi-level gay club is open from 2 pm to 2 am daily, as of September 2010, and every day of the week there is a party going on. Weekly events at BS West include the “A-List Martini Club” on Mondays, “College Tuesdays, and karaoke every Sunday. BS West also has two patios and bars, live VJs and DJs as well as ample lounge space.
