  1. bOb Bar

    • A bar, lounge and gallery on the lower east side of New York City, bOb Bar features DJs playing the hottest hip-hop, reggae and R&B music every night. This club features a younger crowd and fills up fast, so they maintain a strict door policy that encourages men to show up before 10 p.m. if they hope to gain entrance. Wednesday through Friday nights, the bar features the I’m So Happy happy hour from 7 to 10 p.m., hosted by WBERG Radio.

    Sutra Lounge

    • Sutra Lounge is a hip-hop dance party known for attracting some of New York City’s best dancers and hottest DJs. Resident DJ Tony Touch hosts a Tuesday night dance party, which has featured special guests such as DJ June, KOOL HERC, EVIL DEE, Macy Gray, Marley Marl, Talib, DJ Scratch of EPMD and ?uestlove of the Roots. On Wednesdays, the bar has $3 draft beers from 10 to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday nights DJ Rob Flow entertains guests with hip-hop, reggae, '80s, Latin and rock music.

    Katra Lounge

    • The Katra Lounge is not an overwhelming dance party, but offers a calmer, Moroccan themed hideaway where visitors can sip cocktails and nibble on Middle Eastern-inspired food while listening to hip-hop DJ Reg West. The decor is imported and authentic, and offers an international getaway on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

    • The 40/40 club in New York City is a hip-hop sports bar and lounge owned by none other than hip-hop legend Jay-Z and his partner Juan Perez. The bar features food, drinks and a sports game viewing area, as well as a hip-hop dance floor. The bar is decorated with modern furniture and sports memorabilia, and guests can buy membership cards that allow them access to VIP rooms, guaranteed seating, invitations to special events, free private rooms, merchandise, “no wait” privileges when there is a line and drink specials.

    China Club

    • The China Club is an upscale hip-hop club in midtown that plays the most popular hip-hop, pop and reggaetone. The Jade Terrace offers an expansive view of Times Square, and celebrities are often spotted among the China Club's guests. Security is tight, and visitors may be subject to a pat-down and thorough ID checks. The China Club is considered a local hot spot for young New Yorkers.
