About Disney World Pop Culture Resorts

Walt Disney World is a family friendly resort in Orlando, Fla. Home to four different theme parks, it provides entertainment for young and old. Since the resort is so big, Disney has several hotels on the property, catering to different levels of travelers. One of these, Disney's Pop Century Resort, is a great deal for families looking to be entertained.

  1. Location

    • The Pop Century Resort is on the southern part of the Walt Disney World grounds. It is surrounded by Epcot, Disney Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. Guests at the Pop Century resort are also entitled to free bus transportation to Disney World destinations.

    Theme and Size

    • The hotel celebrates American pop culture form the 1950s through the 1990s. Each of their 2,880 rooms are themed to a different decade.

    Dining

    • The Pop Century resort features Everything Pop Shopping and Dining, a casual American style restaurant and the Classic Concoction Lounge.

    Amenities

    • The hotel has three swimming pools, laundry facilities, concierge, childcare services, pizza delivery, self parking, in room refrigerator, Internet (for a fee), arcade, walking trail, and playground.

    Rates

    • Disney classifies this as one of its "value properties" which means it is on the lower end of the spectrum as far as room rates go. As of 2009, rooms started at $82 per night.
