How to Register Your United Airline Miles

Just because you're a United Airlines Mileage Plus member doesn't mean your miles are being registered in your account each time you fly. When you make your reservation, you must provide your Mileage Plus number, or the miles won't be automatically credited to your account. But don't worry, you have up to 12 months after the flight to register your miles. You'll just need to have the e-ticket and your boarding pass on hand to do so.
