How to Check for an Incoming Flight & Booking Code

The computer has made the act of checking flight statuses much easier than in previous years. Rather than having to call the airline and/or airport and listening to an automated system, entering dozens of numbers and choosing multiple options to find out the status of an incoming flight, you can check by logging onto the Internet. Incoming flight statuses are posted on airline websites as well as airport websites, with the option to have updates on the status of the flight sent to your mobile device.

  Visit the website belonging to the airline for which you are searching for an incoming flight.

  Click on the option that allows you to check flight statuses. Enter the departure city, arrival city and the last name of the passenger, or the confirmation number/booking code of your loved one's particular flight.

  View the search results to determine the status of the incoming flight. You will know what time the flight took off, the estimated time of arrival, whether or not the flight was delayed and if it was: the estimated time of its new departure.

  Follow the available link on the search results page to have updates sent to your phone or PDA regarding the status of any incoming flight you want to track.
