Write a letter to your Congressman. In the letter, sat why you are opposed to the full body scans and pat-downs. Are they are an invasion of your privacy? Are you are uncomfortable with a stranger touching you? You don't want your kids being X-rayed or touched are examples of your opposition. Even if you prefer to make a phone call, it helps to come up with a list of reasons why you feel the process should be stopped.
Go online to the House of Representatives website. On the top left side of the screen there will be a button that says, "Write Your Representative." You will go to a page asking you to select your state and input your zip code. Then press the button reading "Contact My Representative." You will be taken to your representative's information contact page that should list their mailing address, phone number, and office hours for both their home site and their Washington, D.C., office. Copy the address to the envelope (or call) and mail.
Write to your senators. You can use the letter you already drafted. Go to the U.S. Senate website. In the top right corner you will notice a drop down menu with the words "Find Your Senator" above it. Select your state from the menu. Both your senators names will come up along with a mailing address as well as a link to a digital contact form. Again, copy the address to the envelope and mail.
Contact the American Civil Liberty Union's (ACLU) local chapter. Visit the ACLU website and you will see a drop down menu with the title "Find Your Local ACLU Affiliate" and the option to select a state. Select your state and you will be directed to an ACLU representative's name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail.
Contact the TSA. Go to the Transportation Security Administration's website. At the top of the screen, you will see a "Contact Us" link. Click it and you will be redirected to a list of options to contact. You may select "Complaints" (the first link on the list), or scroll down to the very bottom for the contact center's e-mail address and phone number.
Write a letter to President Barack Obama. Go to the White House website. At the top right is a link reading "Contact Us." Click it to be directed to a blank comment form. You can input your comments here, or you can find President Obama's address on the right hand panel.
