Access one of several free online flight trackers, such as FlightAware or FlyteComm. These trackers allow the public to input identifying information about a specific plane, and the site will access that information, displaying for users its flight path, location, speed and other information. However, the trackers also offer an option to track flights coming and going from a particular location.
Select the option to track flights based on an airport. The exact location of this option varies from tracker to tracker. For example, users can reach this option on FlightAware by selecting the "Live Tracking" option on the left side of the site and then choosing the "Browse by Airport" option that appears alongside it.
Enter the relevant information for the exact location to be monitored. This can be done by entering in a specific airport code for the site or by choosing it from a list that is available on each tracker.
