Los Angeles Airport Information

Los Angeles International Airport (airport code LAX) served 59.8 million customers in 2008. It is the world's busiest airport for origin and destination passengers--meaning those whose start point or final destination is LAX.
  1. Airport Information

    • LAX has eight terminals and free shuttle buses connecting each terminal running 24 hours a day. The shuttles run every 12-15 minutes. There is parking available for up to 8,000 vehicles at the passenger terminals and another 7,300 spaces available in Lot C (96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard) with a free connecting shuttle to the main terminal.

    Travelers Aid

    • LAX has a unique service called Travelers Aid, which has 11 information booths throughout the airport (on the lower/arrivals level). Travelers Aid provides information about moving through LAX and will assist travelers with booking hotels and sightseeing tours. In the serious event of a stranded or distressed traveler, Travelers Aid offers professional social services.

    Flight information

    • LAX has more than 40,000 flights arriving and departing each month. For a full list of daily departures and arrivals, visit the LAX Flight Schedule web page (lawa.org/laxflightsched.html) and search by date and time or by specific carrier. You can also track flights by departure airport by entering either the departure city name or airport code.
