What Airlines Fly Out of Chicago O'Hare?

As of 2010, Chicago's O'Hare International Airport had received the Golden Traveler Award 10 years in a row for being the "Best Airport in North America." Perhaps part of the reason why O'Hare continues to receive this award is because of the vast number of airline choices for travelers. The airport offers flights from about 40 different airlines (See Resources 1), including four prominent international companies.
  1. American Airlines

    • This airline, based in the United States, transports more than 100 million passengers each year. Thus, it is able to offer deals on airfare that are not possible by some smaller airlines. American Airlines is one of four airlines in the nation to receive the highest rating by the Federal Aviation Administration. Despite its American origins, the airline now offers flights to nearly every major airport in the world, including flights to eastern Asia, Australia and South America. It does not offer flights to Iceland.

Today, it has expanded to one of the premier airliners in the world. Patrons can expect generally low fares, in-flight meal service and travel to destinations as varied as the Romania, Croatia and Spain.

    • Japan Airlines offers flights from the United States and North America to many Asian and Eastern European destinations. O'Hare Airport is one of only seven in the United States that offers flights from this airline. Japan Airlines offers reclining seats with room to sleep, though these are restricted to first-class fliers. Meals and drinks are available on each flight. Additionally, Japan Airlines was working in 2010 to become more environmentally friendly.
