What Airlines Fly From Fort Lauderdale to Australia?

Fort Lauderdale International Airport offers limited service to Australia with flights only being offered a few times per month. You can fly into Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. From Fort Lauderdale you will typically have a six-hour flight to Los Angeles or San Francisco, however if you have to connect through another city, this could add several more hours to your total flight time.

Once on the West Coast, you will connect through either San Francisco or Los Angeles, and will then fly directly to Sydney or Melbourne with flight times of 13 to 14 hours. If you are traveling to Brisbane, you will then board a local 90-minute flight. Keep in mind that you will cross over the international dateline in the Pacific Ocean. So after traveling for upwards of 24 hours, you will lose an additional day on the calendar during your trip to Australia, but will pick the day back up again when you return to the United States.
