Seven major US Airlines offer service to and from Anchorage's Ted Stevens airport: Delta Airlines, Continental Airlines, American Airlines, US Airways, Alaska Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Sun Country Airlines. These airlines operate from the south terminal which handles domestic flights. Air Canada, a Canadian airline, also operates out of the domestic (south) terminal. Flights to Anchorage may be seasonal. Specific information can be obtained from the individual airline.
Several regional airlines offer service. Hageland Aviation services, which has been in business since 1981, serves rural Alaska. Grant Aviation offers both regularly scheduled flights within Alaska and charter flights. ERA Aviation and its partners Hageland Aviation and Frontier Flying Service offer scheduled flights to over 100 communities within Alaska. PenAir serves 36 communities in southwestern Alaska with regularly scheduled flights. Alaskan Airlines offers service both within Alaska and to outside destinations.
Foreign airlines operate out of the Ted Stevens airport's international (north) terminal. They include Asiana Airlines and Korean Air, connecting Anchorage to Korea; Air China and China Airlines; Cathay Pacific, connecting Anchorage to Hong Kong; and Vladivostok Air, which offers service between Anchorage and Russia. These scheduled services may be on a seasonal basis. Those interested in booking should consult a travel agent or the airlines to confirm the schedules.
Several charter airlines operate out of the Anchorage airport. Condor operates charter tours from Europe. Japan Air Charter and JAL operate charter tours from Japan. US-based companies such as North American Airlines and Omni Air International also offer charter service. These charters frequently connect passengers to Alaska cruises and other organized tours.
