Airlines That Fly From Miami to Puerto Rico

The island of Puerto Rico is popular winter retreat for tourists, as the year-round temperature averages around 80 degrees. While there are many airlines that fly into the island of Puerto Rico, there are only a handful that depart from the city of Miami, Florida. Most flights from Miami to Puerto Rico are indirect flight paths, stopping in at least one or more locations before landing at one of five of Puerto Rico's six major airports.
  1. American Airlines

    • American Airlines and its carriers offer direct flights from Miami International Airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico, landing at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Non-stop flights from Miami to San Juan take just a little more than two hours.

American Airlines' least expensive flight class is its Economy Super Saver and, as of 2010, flight times are flexible for this travel route. However, as per American Airlines website, their evening flights are much cheaper compared to morning flights, showing reductions of up to 50 percent.

American offers both a Net SAAvers discount program and AAdvantage miles earning program. Net SAAvers is a low-price guarantee that if you find a lower airfare with another airline, even after you've already booked, they'll match the price and refund you the difference. The miles awards are earned every time you fly, so these are only beneficial to frequent flyers.
