FlightSafety International is a Florida-based company that specializes in pilot training and aviation safety. FlightSafety uses a range of full-motion flight simulators to train pilots on situations that cannot be practiced in an airplane.
The Federal Aviation Administration, or FAA, allows pilots to complete some of their training in flight simulators. This simulator time can be logged as flight time, and counts towards a pilot's total flight time.
FlightSafety operates many types of flight simulators; including simulators representing military aircraft, airliners, business jets and helicopters.
Airlines, flight schools, corporate operations and even the United States military send their pilots to FlightSafety for simulator training and instruction.
Flight Safety simulator trains pilots on standard operating procedures, such as checklist flow and air traffic control procedures. They also use simulators to replicate emergency situations, such as loss of engine power or loss of hydraulic control.
Flight Safety has training centers throughout the United States; as well as in the United Kingdom, Japan and South Africa.
