One of the leading online travel companies, Orbitz provides the tools you need to reserve flights, cruises, accommodations and cars. If your situation changes after you've booked a flight, Orbitz makes it easy for you to reschedule. You can either call Orbitz customer service, where representatives are available to assist you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or you can go to the Orbitz website, enter your personal identifying information, and reschedule the flight yourself.
Call Orbitz customer service toll-free at 1-888-656-4546. Follow the automated responses until you are connected to a customer service representative.
Give your name and your confirmation or itinerary number to the customer service rep, who will access your account and flight information.
Reschedule your flight by providing information about your revised itinerary, including the date, the time and the destination.
Confirm the rescheduled flight, including approving any additional charges related to changing your flight. Write down the new confirmation number if one is provided.
Open your Internet browser and navigate to the Orbitz website (see Resources). Click on "Sign In," "My Trips" or "My Account" to gain access to the sign-in page. Enter your email address and the password you used when booking your flight.
Click on "My trips," then select "Change/Cancel Ticket."
Select "Change" to reschedule your existing flight, then choose how you want to change the flight (different time, date or destination). The "Change/Cancel Ticket" wizard will guide you through the steps for booking a new flight.
Click on "Submit"; the new itinerary will be sent to your email address.
