Could there be sharks in the Vertigris River?

The Verdigris River is located in the midwestern United States and is not home to any shark species. Sharks are marine creatures and most of them live in saltwater environments such as oceans and estuaries. The Verdigris River is a freshwater river and does not have the appropriate salinity or environment to support shark populations.
