How long does a car have to stop completely for at sign in Michigan?

According to the Michigan Vehicle Code, a vehicle must stop completely before entering or crossing a roadway marked with a stop sign. The driver of the vehicle must bring the vehicle to a complete stop before proceeding through the intersection.

Michigan Vehicle Code, Section 257.611, states:

"(1) Stop sign required. A vehicle shall stop at a clearly marked stop line, but if none, then at the intersection of crosswalks or, in the absence of crosswalks, then at a point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering the intersection."
