What Happened to the Carnival Cruise Ship Jubilee?

The Carnival cruise ship Jubilee still sails the seas, just under a different name. The Jubilee was a part of Carnival's Holiday class, but was purchased by P&O Cruises in 2004 and transferred to Australia. The ship is now known as the Pacific Sun.
  1. Multi-Million Dollar Remodel

    • Jubilee was built in Sweeden, weighs 47,262 tons and can accommodate 1,486 passengers. The ship has undergone a multi-million dollar remodel, including the addition of a new steakhouse. The ship was also painted to match the color scheme of its sister ship, the Pacific Dawn. The sun deck has been converted into a spa for adult use. On deck, 10 guests can work out at the gym, which features views of the ocean.

    Features

    • The ship now features a lido buffet, a steakhouse and a sushi bar. It offers 743 cabins, 10 suites, child care facilities, playrooms and a video arcade.

    Destinations

    • The home port for the Pacific Sun is now Brisbane, Australia. It currently sails from Auckland, Brisbane, Fremantle, Newcastle and Sydney, Australia. Destinations include the Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Asia.
